	What are some easy fashion tips for women in the warm weather?

	Everything looks better with a tan, especially fresh summery colors and classic white. Try any one of the new self-tanners available at your local drug store for a quick and healthy glow that won't harm your skin. Summer fashion is all about being simple and chic, light and airy, and always cool and comfortable. But you can go to town on the lowdown! Play up your clean summer looks with a fun pair of sandals that bring interest to your outfit. When you get a pedicure, try a nude or blush pink polish. If it chips you'll never see it and it can make your legs look longer by creating a clean uninterrupted line all the way down to your toes. Ethnic Bohemian looks rule the roost this season. Try a gauzy A-line skirt, with some layered tank tops and a chunky belt. The A-line style is flattering to most body types and provides a great camouflage where you need it. A flowy tunic top with an embellished neckline, paired with some capris and a wedged sandal, is a simple way to capture the trends of the moment and still be comfortable.

	Do you often see women who are uncomfortable with their feet?

	Yes, all the time and especially while working on Extreme Makeover. Shoe shopping is one of my favorite things to do, and every woman knows that finding the right shoe can make or break any outfit. Many women I work with preempt our shopping trips with comments like, "Sam, I don't want you to see my feet" or "I have crazy feet, don't look." I was surprised to find out how much emphasis women place on having "beautiful feet," and how feelings about their feet can affect their self-esteem and the way they present themselves to the world.

	When was the first time you heard about athlete's foot on the bottom and sides of feet and what did you think?

	It was when Lamisil^AT® Cream first approached me about the educational campaign. Like so many people, I thought athlete's foot was "a guy thing." When I learned that athlete's foot on the bottom and sides of feet affected so many women, and that it resembled dry cracked skin on the sides and bottom of the foot, a light bulb went on. My fabulous mother, who happened to be visiting me at the time, has always suffered from dryness and cracking on her feet. For as long as I can remember she would get pedicures and moisturize her feet, but nothing would help her condition. I put two and two together, jumped off my desk and ran into her room screaming, "MOM, YOU HAVE ATHLETE'S FOOT!" Needless to say she thought I was nuts, but she tried the Lamisil^AT® Cream and a few weeks later her feet looked amazing! She proudly showed them off to me in a gorgeous open shoe at a friend's wedding, and we had a great laugh. It was a Lamisil^AT® Cream success story that really hit home for me.

	What type of new trends in shoes are you seeing for summer this year?

	Your traditional summer sandals and simple flip-flops get their own makeover this season by adding some height, and a few bells and whistles to make them stand out. Better get your feet healthy and in shape for these hot summer styles! It's all about wedges, espadrilles and open sandals with some detail and embellishment. Go for an ethnic or Bohemian vibe with a summer shoe rich with beading or stones. Try a metallic strappy heel for a night out, or a funky, wedged sandal for the daytime with a long A-line skirt. Choose a cool espadrille made of canvas in a bright color with a cropped pant or jean. The height will make you look slimmer, and the wedge gives you the support and comfort you need to rival the hottest super models on the runway.

	Why did you feel compelled to participate in this educational campaign?

	Everything I have done in my career has involved some sort of education. I love it when someone learns how to make a difference in his or her life without going to the extreme. Everyone has the potential inside themselves to look and feel great. They just need the tools and the information to make it happen. And I always say, "If you've watched me on Extreme Makeover and you haven't learned something, then I'm not doing my job." I learned that nearly 50% of the women in the U.S. have suffered from symptoms of athlete's foot on the bottom and sides of their feet during the last 12 months. Many have no idea those symptoms may be a type of athlete's foot. I was shocked at this. I thought, it's a perfect fit. Letting women know about a makeover that they can do for themselves to look and feel better, in the privacy of their home, in a couple of weeks for under 15 bucks? Sign me up! I wanted to help educate women about this problem, and more importantly, to tell them that there is a simple solution in Lamisil^AT® Cream.
